Gran's Lemon Icebox Pie reinvented as Key Lime Pie

Vanilla Wafer Crumb Crust:
Mix 40 crushed Nilla Wafers, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup melted butter in a pie plate.  Press mixture into crust.  Bake 8 minutes at 325 degrees.  Let cool.

Grate 1 tablespoon lime peel.  Squeeze limes to get 1/2 cup juice.
Separate 3 eggs.
Beat yolks and add 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk.  Add lime juice and zest.  Blend well.
Fill pie crust with mixture.  Bake at 325 degrees for 14 minutes, until filling is set.  Turn off oven.  Prop door.  Let pie cool in oven.  Refrigerate.  Top with whipped cream to serve.
